I'm on slow internet only for a minute more so, here are some pictures!! More blogging to come about Zanzibar and our trip through Malawi!!

Lions, and cheetahs and maybe a leopard...OH MY!
THE SERENGETI !!!!!!!!!!
Colin and I enjoying our Safari Jeep. The scenery was amazing!!
A running giraffe!
George and I pretending to be lions. See them lounging in the background?
Colin and Dom looking filthy after two days of dust and no showers. That isn't a sunglass tan-line, it is a sunglass dirt-line.
MISS YOU ALL!

Rafting on the White Nile
We had a wild ride a few days ago on the White Nile in Uganda. According to the guide books, this is the best white water rafting in the world. During the one day rafting session, you hit 4 class 5 rapids. The highest possible rating for a rapid is a 6 and those are un-runable, so these rapids were HUGE!!!
Our group decided we were going to attempt everything so that put us into the 'wild' category. Our guide dumped us in 2 class 3s and managed to keep us afloat in the class 5s but I'm not sure how he did it. There was a LOT of screaming going on.
One of the best parts of the entire day was relaxing afterwards with a Nile Special while taking in the scenery of the White Nile, which is the starting point of the Nile.
Well, we are back in Nairobi for the 3rd time and getting set to go down into Tanzania.
We'll keep in touch,
P & C

Gorillas in the Mist and some overlanding troubles
Yesterday our group went trekking to observe the endangered mountain gorillas. It was, by far, one of the highlights of our trip. We were only feet away from these huge, humanlike creatures. Our silverback leaders name was Charles.
The internet here is shotty so we will only upload a few pictures.

Right now, we are hanging out in Rwanda and going back to Uganda to do some white water rafting tomorrow.
In trip news, our trip leader quit or got fired, no one knows. He did not get along with the rest of the staff and one night just told us that was it. So we are short one staff member and our truck fridge does not work. It certainly is an adventure.
Miss everyone, especially our newly crawling neice and our newborn nephew, love,
Patti and Colin

Overlanding In Africa
Africa has been the most exciting place to travel: friendly people, incredible terrrain and never ending wildlife.
Internet has been not that accessible since we've been en route through Kenya and Uganda and from what we understand Rwanda will be worse.
Currently we are in Kabale in Uganda and will be heading to Rwanda tomorrow.
Here are a couple photos from the Overland Trip.
The wildlife is non-stop on this continent.
